Tok 6th Grade This year the Tok School 6th grade has just begun to learn about what they can do with their laptops and some cool internet tools. The students maintained their own blogs on Blogger, and have learned to use web 2.0 tools such as Google Docs, Voki, Xtranormal, Animoto, and Scrapblog. These tools have helped them to show what they know about some of the reading we have done in 6th grade English.

Tok 6th Grade
This year the Tok School 6th grade has just begun to learn about what they can do with their laptops and some cool internet tools. The students maintained their own blogs on Blogger, and have learned to use web 2.0 tools such as Google Docs, Voki, Xtranormal, Animoto, and Scrapblog. These tools have helped them to show what they know about some of the reading we have done in 6th grade English.
Tok 7th Grade
The Tok 7th grade class maintained their own blogs on Blogger, and were able to utilize many web 2.0 and Mac tools for projects in their 7th grade History class - among them were Keynote, iMovie, Garage Band,Google Docs, Google SketchUp, ScribbleMaps, Voki, Xtranormal, Animoto, CuePrompter, Sketchfu, Webspiration, and Prezi.
Tok 8th Grade
The 8th grade proved to be very proficient at adapting new tools for all kinds of uses this year, both in English and World Geography. Besides maintaining their own blogs on Blogger, and participating in the FlatClassroom Project, the students were also able to work with a huge array of Mac and web 2.0 tools and make decisions for their projects about which tools would best suit their needs and get their information across. The students became proficient users of Google Docs, PowerPoint, Garage Band, iMovie, Keynote, WikiSpaces, ScribbleMaps, SlideShare, Delicious, UMapper, VoiceThread, Voki, Xtranormal, Animoto, Jeopardy Labs, Screencast-o-Matic, and CuePrompter. The students created and edited many online movies using our new Flip-style Kodak zi6 HD video cameras. An exciting thing they learned to do at the end of this year was computer programming with a tool called Scratch. Scratch is actually Logo programming language, which is set up in a visual format so that students can "write" programs. The 8th graders wrote their own games just for fun, and spent the last few weeks of school writing educational interactives and games to teach about World Geography projects they were working on.
